Most of these are in either museums or fine art galleries around the world. Pin/Brooch measures about 2 1/8 inches wide and about 1 5/8 inches in height. The subject matter is the highly sought after art deco Jaguar. Unusual though as it has no silver fill in between the small hoop that runs across the back. It carries the Spratling hallmark from the first design period with the WS print brand (raised) . The tertiary stamp of .980 and TAXCO hallmarks on the reverse. This poitively ID's the pieces date between 1933-1938. It is in excellent condition. There have been no repairs to the piece and there is no damage at all to it. It has not been cleaned or polished and retains it's original as found patina. A very important piece to any early William Spratling collection.
