This is a massive 18K triple signed Swiss minute repeater with display back. The case is 57.2 MM in diameter including the repeat slide. The watch is 78 MM from the top of the bow to the bottom of the case hinge. This case is surely at least 2 ounces with the movement out of the case and probably more. Please NOTE this watch has a broken minute wheel post. This has been photographed very well. This watch runs well and strikes well. The unfortunate part about this watch is the customer took the watch in to a hobbyist for repair and he used crystal cement to glue the post back on where it broke off. It is quite evident in the pictures that the thread is broken off at the base. The broken thread needs to be removed from the plate and another minute wheel post with thread needs to be made. The hole in the plate will have to be prepared for the new post. This watch is highly jeweled with the escape wheel, pallet and of course the balance is nicely capped. The entire strike train upper and lower pivots are nicely jeweled. The watch has a beautiful sound and appears to strike well. The watch appears to be at least 35 jewels. The watch has a very nice nickel movement. This movement is dull and completely dry of oil. The watch movement is dirty and it is evident it has been many years since this watch has been completely disassembled and professionally overhauled. The watch has delicate hands and an enamel dial. The enamel dial does half a crack in the middle of the dial that has been photographed. The crack is not that visible from the front but is when turned to the side. This watch will be sold for parts and repair. THERE WILL BE NO RETURNING OF THIS WATCH for any reason. We are selling this minute repeater for the value of the gold case, minute repeating movement and hands and dial. We are selling this for repair with the problems that we can see with out further disassembly. We believe the starting price is more than fair for a watch of this value and case size. The case alone is worth the opening price. Once repaired this watch will have good value. Again we are selling this for a customer and will not take any return on this watch.
