Proudly presenting for Auction a one of a kind Omega Pocket-watch truly made for a KING! This unique and genuine piece was carefully crafted for His Majesty King Abdul Aziz Al Saud, founder and ruler of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. King Abdul Aziz Al Saud ruled from 1932-1953, and brought wealth and prosperity to the great Middle Eastern nation. The watch was given as a gift by King Abdul Aziz to a close friend of his from Hejaz, and has been stored safely all these years. It has now come into my possession and although Omega has offered a substantial compensation to place it in their own museum, I feel it should be returned to it's rightful place in the Kingdom amongst family and the people of the nation King Abdul Aziz Al Saud founded. It goes without saying that the historic and sentimental value of this piece is priceless. The watch was crafted in Switzerland by Omega specifically for the King. Photographs below depict his name printed on the face of the watch itself. It is encased in silver with several lightly brushed scratches as it is of significant age, however the casing is fully in tact and presentable. It measures approximately 58mm in diameter. The face of the watch is a patina white color with Arabic numerals, and again, directly below the number 12 and the Omega logo is the King's seal. The glass crystal is in like-new condition and the back of the watch is plain with no inscriptions. Attached to the watch is a lobster-claw clasp connected to several single-links. These lead to a sealed bail separating into three strong single-link chains made of silver. These lead to two deep rusty orange flickered stone circles over-layed by a silver equestrian and horse (duplicated on both sides). Dangling from this detailed section is a silver horseshoe with a horse's head inside, overlaying a third round, orange stone, and also duplicated on two sides. Leaving the intricate equestrian design are three single-link chains leading to a second identical sealed bail, finally leading to a silver spring-ring. The watch is not currently in working order. The time is stopped at 01:39:52. Due to insurance purposes and the high value of the piece, I could not find anyone willing to open it to investigate the inner workings. Also, because of the large size of the watch, it requires specific and un-ordinary tools, so it has been recommended to send the watch to Omega in Switzerland for assessment. ***TERMS AND CONDITIONS*** PAYMENT BY BANK WIRE ONLY. Payment must be received within four (4) days of auction close. Upon failure to remit payment, the winning bid will automatically transfer to the next highest bidder. Public release of winning bidder's identity is at the discretion of the winner.
