The top of the skull is hinged to lift up and reveal the hidden watch dial. The dial in turn is hinged to lift up and reveal the watch's chain driven verge fusee movement. The dial is marked "Rilliet  A. Strasbourg".  The pierced verge fusee movement is also stamped "Rilliet A. Strausbourg". The watch is in good running condition and is key wound and key set and includes a watch key. This extremely rare skull watch is in great original condition showing only age lines in the preban ivory.  This watch is the largest and finest in my collection of skull watches, not to mention the most expensive as I have around $4K in this piece. This is a HUGE and HEAVY SKULL WATCH!  I purchased this skull watch a number of years ago from an Austrian dealer whom I have also purchased several other skull watches from in the past.  I am buying my almost 16 year old daughter her first car, so I have decided to put the skull up for auction.  I have thought about selling it in the past, but have always decided not to.  Payment my money order or cashier's check only.  Shipping by Registered Priority Mail with Insurance.  Please check out my other auctions for other unusual pieces.
