EARLY 1800'S PAIR CASE FUSSE POCKET WATCH WATCH MEASUREMENTS OUTER CASE - 57 MM ACROSS - 80 MM TO TOP OF BOW INNER CASE - 50 MM ACROSS - 80 MM TO TOP OF BOW DESCRIPTION I have up for Auction some Fine Timepieces from a collection of Watches in exceptional condition. Please view "My Other Auctions" to see these other Fine Vintage Timepieces . What I have here to view is a Early 1800's Sterling Silver Fusse Pair Case Pocket Watch in excellent condition. The Pair Case or Double Case's are Hallmarked for Solid Sterling Silver and are in great condition showing only very minimal wear. The hinges are tight on both the inner and outer cases. The heavy quality cases as well as being hallmark for Sterling Silver, has matching makers marks and numbers that match both cases as well as the matching the movement number. The Fusse or Chain drive movement is very high grade, is clean and is accurate. This movement is running strong and runs the full length of the chain. We have not researched the maker but believe it was a special watch with this quality and there maybe additional information under the dial on the top plate. The movement is finely pierced and beautifully gilded and has the early 19th century style pillars. The enameled porcelain dial is in excellent condition. The gilded hour and minute hands are original. The original Bulls Eye glass crystal is in very good condition.
