Calvin Martinez is a favorite of mine so any time I see a piece of his work, I know it is quality. He is famous for his Revival work and the use of very high quality stones. This ring is lovely and has so many great attributes that I hardly know where to begin, but I will try. First, the stone is Morenci Turquoise with a pillow top cut, meaning it is slightly beveled. It is surrounded by two repoussed scallop shells, top and bottom, with the sides consisting of twisted wire, rope and two sterling drops on either side making it appear to be set in a picture frame. The shank is tri split and has nice stamp work on it and the whole piece is finished with a satin, old style, hand rubbed glow to it. I love this ring and think you will too and because of it's size it will work for a man or woman equally well. A very nice piece of jewelry for everyday or to wear when you are dressing up.
