Description
watchupdoc Store I am currently listing a wide selection of Vintage Pocket Watches at great prices!!! Many of the pieces that I am offering are perfect for carrying and display and will make great gifts or simply treat yourself to a nice addition to your collection. Please view all my auctions for a super variety! This small ladies size 14K hunter case watch is in superb condition! Leaf and flower designs decorate the front cover along with a large uninitialed shield. The back cover features a boat and lake scene.A raised outer rim borders each cover. Vermicelli patterns decorate the center ring or frame of the case. The covers close nice and tight. The dust cover or cuvette is plain polished and engraved with the name "M. Steger".The case is signed "Warranted - 14K - U.S. Assay - 120448."The case is extremely crisp showing only very faint signs of having ever been carried. All of the engraving still feels sharp and crisp. There are NO scratches present anywhere on the case and just one small dent on the front cover that is only visible when the case is tilted just right in the light. It is not readily noticable at all. The front cover opens sharply when released and stops abruptly at 90 degrees as it should. The back and dust covers also open properly. The hinges are VERY firm and the covers snap shut tight. The bow still shows resistance and the crown is sharp. This is a nice, dainty ladies watch that looks perfect when worn on a chain without being overbearing. Overall, the watch measures 23mm (1 1/4") wide X 44mm (1 3/4") from the top of the bow to the base of the case X 10mm (7/16") thick. The front cover opens sharply when released revealing a beautiful single sunk, white porcelain dial which is marked with bold, fancy Arabic hour chapters and signed "Hampden". Fancy gold pointers center the dial and are clean. The dial is stark white and clean. I can find NO hairlines or scratches. There is one edge chip on the dial at 6 o'clock that is mostly covered by the bezel. A glass crystal protects the dial and is scratch free. The 000 size, 7 Jewel, gilt, stem wind and lever set movement is clean and bright. The movement is signed "Molly Stark - Canton, O. U.S.A." The serial number 1316852 dates this piece back to about 1899.The movement is very clean and bright, showing only minor service marks and NO rust or spotting at all. It exhibits a wonderful brilliant lustre. I have just had this watch completely and professionally disassembled, cleaned, oiled, polished, timed and regulated. It winds and sets smooth and is running strong while keeping excellent time. Super Condition Inside & Out!!!!!This is a very nice, strong running watch that is ready to put to use or add to your collection.
