This is a fancy 18K solid gold pocket watch (not plated), dating from the 19th century exactly 1889. The beautiful elaborated case is French fob watch the movement is also French made in Angouleme by Paul Souchet hors concours in Paris in 1889. It is in fine running condition (but I can not give international guaranty). The dial is white enamel, with black Roman numerals, gild Arabic numerals black points, and gold tone hands. The surface is good, with no cracks. This case has a very fine chiseled floral design on the back cover with initials (please see the picture). The glass is convex, and the movement is set in a double case (Both of them are in heavy 18 karats yellow gold). Inside the double case is marked a serial number 56899, the maker mark, and the French 18k gold mark the head of a horse. On the inside dust cup are the same marks. This is a particularly nice pocket watch for the true collector, that you can also use it. We have at last 4 French hallmarks for 18K gold in various places the head of a horse witch is the mark from 1819 to 1919.
