The finest engraved case with enamel face, such a beautiful watch! Porcelain face features black roman numerals accented with colorful enamel decoration. Ornate gold toned hands with pierced decoration and embossing. Backside of case is engraved with a Swallow Bird, a popular Victorian motif. Edges of case feature an embossed floral pattern. Inside case reads "Swiss K&M 0.800, 20962" with swiss grouse hallmark indicating 800 silver content. The silver content grouse hallmark was used circa 1880s, dating this watch to the Victorian era. Inside cover is marked “K&M Metal, 20962”. There is also a hallmark at the stem which looks like the swiss 800 silver content grouse. Item is cosmetically in excellent condition. Runs slow; when wound at 12 pm, clock reads 3pm at 6pm (actual time). Case is in excellent shape with light surface wear. A 1/8” ding on side of case. The only visible hairline spans length of porcelain face. Beveled crystal can be popped out and should be reset by a professional. We do not give any guarantee for watches. We recommend that the watch is looked at by a Horologist for Cleaning/Repair. We offer no guarantee with watches.
