Description                         This pocket watch is a Triple signed 23 jewel TWO TONE MOVEMENT Hampden Dueber Railway Special in a hallmarked 4 ounce coin silver case made by Dueber and also marked Patented Sept 20 1881. This unseen case must have been a special order, Elgin made one in a solid gold hunter that can be seen on page 185 in Sugarts 2008 edition.  Done in fastastic detail with a 14K solid rose gold train, running along the tracks with a diamond lantern, all in raised relief (not engraved) and with a multicolor solid gold backround, of green white and rose gold. There is very little to no wear and the case remain's  in prime condition! you can actually still see the head of the engineer driving the train.  The triple gold hinged case measures a massive  (60mm's wide by 88mm tall). All shields seal very tight and maintain a firm 90 degrees on very strong hinges, total weight is 6.3 ounces or 181 grams. see photo's.                        The movement is beautiful,  just cleaned and fully serviced Railway Special model , with a full  nickle plate and bright gold checkered damaskeened plate.  23 jewels, screwed down gold jewel settings, gold color plate screws, serial number 1359152. The watch is running perfect with good motion and keeping time.  The dial is a minty double sunk porcelin 24 hour Hampden, with bold black roman numerals, a miltary time inner track and a red five minute outer track, one unseen line . The hands are Hampden spade  pointers with some loss of color .
