Description
14k gold Monster hunter pocket watch double side engraved - This is engraved beyond what I have ever seen! The hunter cover has a man in 1800's hunting gear powder horn slung across his side , wearing boots and a proper hat having just fired at a stag who is opposite the central oval shield and rearing upward, tonge extanded. Below it is another stag that has already been felled by the hunter. Worked all about are flowers roses, acanthas, leaves. and vines, . the reverse is the strong portrait of a hunting dog enshrowded by a French hunting horn. Surrounding this is more flowers, a felled stag, a powder horn, a rifle barrel , detailed as if a photograph! The face has long Roman numerals for the hours and small arabic numbers for the minutes and the seconds tic in a separate lower dial at the 6 o'clock position - it is lever set. The inner back cover is engraved "No. 53852 Ancre lione droite" The second line " Spiral Breguet Chaton" then "17" and finally " BALANCIER COMPENSE". the case measures almost 2 1/4 inches across!!! The case mint marks are a standing Lion facing left holding a key pointing down - below this is a crown in a circle - below this is what looks like a squirrell facing right next to a rectangle containing "0.585" - Take a look at the mainspring - it is very unique - and it RUNS!!!!Keeps good time also!!
