Description
You are bidding on a “minty” 14k solid, size 16s. 23-jewel E. Howard series “0” (not marked) model 1907 hunt case pocket watch. The outer case is absolutely “mint”. This watch is as close to "top book value" as it could possibly be and I would comfortably place it in the top 1% of all series "0" Howard hunt cases available. The front cover springs open on an “excellent” hinge to a few degrees “shy” of 90 while the back cover opens in the same fashion. The cuvette is excellent. There are a few light opening marks under the cover lips and otherwise, the rest of the case is “minty”. The Howard signed double-sunk dial is clear and completely hairline-free. The hands are “mint”. The nickel movement is exceptionally clean and is marked under the balance wheel, “special adjusted five positions temperature”. It runs well. What you see is exactly what you will receive if you win this auction. It is being offered as described and as pictured. Please study the pictures very carefully before bidding and ask questions if you are unsure of anything. . (J) I’ll let the pictures tell the rest of the story. As additional visual descriptions, they take precedence over any and all of the written descriptions. They are very clear and should leave no doubt as to the condition of this watch. In most cases you are the expert also, so please judge these pictures for yourself. If I have erred in the description at all, it was purely unintentional. The pictures are part of the description so please study them closely and bid on what you see and know. If you would like additional pictures of this watch I will gladly e-mail them to you. If you are not familiar with watch terms such as hairlines, brassing, double sunk, lever set etc. please ask any and all questions before you bid. I have tried to describe this watch as accurately as possible and if I have omitted anything, it was purely unintentional. I do guarantee the description of the watch however; due to the age of the watch (in some cases more than 100 years old) it is being sold "As Is". I strongly suggest that all shipments be insured, especially the more expensive watches because I cannot be held responsible for any damage or loss done by The Post office or any other shipper. If you have any questions, I will gladly answer them by e-mail. Buyers paying by Pay Pal, I will ship your watch the same or very next business day upon notification from Pay Pal. I ship all watches within the continental USA by Priority Mail (no fee). If you desire insurance there will be a fee, so please ask if you want insurance. I will also ship "overnight" for an additional fee. I DO NOT ACCEPT BANK TRANSFERS. Items paid for by Pay Pal will be shipped the same or very next business day. I also gladly accept money orders. Personal checks must clear before shipping. Note: I do not ship to Malaysia or Indonesia. I Must receive payment within 7 days of close of auction. Please check my auctions weekly for new watches. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding!! Note to my European customers: I do ship to Europe on a daily by Global Express Mail. There is a tracking number with this service.
